Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a notary cost?

Notarisation starts at £125 +VAT for the first document, with additional documents at £65 +VAT each. Commercial documents are £150 +VAT. We operate on a fixed-fee basis — the price we quote is the price you pay, with no hidden extras.

Can I get a same-day appointment?

Yes — we offer same-day and next-day appointments as standard. Call us in the morning and you can often come in the same afternoon. We understand documents are usually time-sensitive.

What do I need to bring?

Bring the documents you need notarised, a valid photo ID (passport preferred), and any supporting paperwork. If you’re unsure, call us first and we’ll tell you exactly what’s required.

Where is your office?

19 Wigmore Street, London W1U 1PH — in the heart of the West End, 5 minutes’ walk from Bond Street and Oxford Circus tube stations. The office is between Selfridges and Harley Street.

Do you handle apostilles as well?

Yes. We’re registered FCDO account holders and handle the full apostille process in-house. We offer 10-day (from £60), 5-day (£80), and next-day express (£100) services, plus the £40 FCDO fee per document.

Can you help with embassy legalisation?

Absolutely. We handle the complete legalisation chain — notarisation, apostille, and embassy attestation — for countries including the UAE, China, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and many others. One provider, one fixed fee.

What’s the difference between a notary and a solicitor?

A notary public is specifically authorised to certify documents for international use. While solicitors handle domestic legal matters, notaries are recognised worldwide. Our practice includes both a notary and a solicitor (non-practising), giving you the best of both worlds.

Can I post my documents to you?

For apostilles and some legalisation work, yes — you can post documents to our Wigmore Street office. For notarisation that requires witnessing your signature, you’ll need to attend in person. Call us and we’ll advise on the best approach.
