How It Works — 3 Simple Steps

1

Send Us Your Documents

Bring it to our Wigmore Street office (5 minutes from Bond Street and Oxford Circus), post it to us, or email a scan for us to review first. We’ll confirm it’s ready for apostille and advise if anything else is needed.

2

We Submit Directly to the FCDO

As FCDO account holders, we submit your document directly to the Legalisation Office — no middlemen, no postal queue. Your document is handled by a qualified Notary Public, not an agency.

3

Collect or We Deliver

Pick up from our office, or we’ll send it back by Royal Mail Special Delivery or courier. Express orders submitted by 10:00am are ready next working day.

Fixed fees, no surprises. The price you see is the price you pay.

Why Use a Notary for Your Apostille?

Many apostille “agencies” are just middlemen. They take your document, post it to the public queue, and charge you for the privilege. You’re paying for a postbox.

Direct FCDO submission. We are registered account holders with the FCDO Legalisation Office. Your document goes directly — no postal queue, no delays from third-party handling.

Qualified Notary Public. If your document needs notarising before apostille (many do), we handle both under one roof. No running between providers.

20+ years’ experience. Established in 2004, we’ve apostilled over 10,000 documents. We know exactly what the FCDO will accept and what they’ll reject — so we get it right first time.

Central London office. 19 Wigmore Street, W1 — 5 minutes’ walk from Bond Street and Oxford Circus. Drop in or post your documents.

Fixed fees, no surprises. The price you see is the price you pay. No “admin fees,” no surcharges, no hidden extras.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the FCDO Legalisation cost?

Our fixed fees are £60 (Standard, 10 working days), £80 (Priority, 5 working days), or £100 (Express, next working day). All prices per document, plus VAT. Discounts for multiple documents. No hidden extras. If you contact us directly, the price you see is the price you pay. No “admin fees,” no surcharges.

How long does an apostille take to get?

Our Express service returns documents the next working day, provided we receive them by 10:00am. Our Priority service takes 5 working days, and our Standard service takes 10 working days. Most clients choose Priority or Express.

Does my document need notarising before apostille?

It depends on the document type and the destination country. Government-issued documents (birth, marriage, death certificates, police checks) usually don’t need notarising. Private documents (powers of attorney, company documents, degrees) often do. We’ll advise you when you get in touch — no obligation.

Where is your office?

We’re at 19 Wigmore Street, London W1 — a 5-minute walk from Bond Street and Oxford Circus underground stations. You can drop in or post your documents. Express orders collected by 10:00am are ready the following working day.

Can you handle multiple documents at once?

Yes. We handle bulk apostille orders for individuals and companies. Call us on 020 7499 2605 to discuss volume pricing. Many corporate clients send regular batches of documents.

What if I don’t need notarising before apostille?

If your document is a government-issued original (birth certificate, marriage certificate, police check, etc.), it can go straight to the FCDO for apostille with no notarisation required. We’ll confirm this when you contact us — no obligation.

Is your service recognised by the FCDO?

Yes. We are registered account holders with the FCDO Legalisation Office, submitting documents directly rather than via the public service. It’s faster, more secure, and means we can offer guaranteed turnaround times.

What’s the difference between notarisation and apostille?

Notarisation is when a Notary Public verifies and certifies a document. An apostille is the government authentication that follows. Some documents need notarising before they can be apostilled — for example, copies of passports, translations, or private documents not issued by a UK authority. As qualified Notaries, we handle both steps under one roof, saving you time and an extra trip.
