How to attest a degree certificate in uK – attestation procedures

Notarisation

Internationally recognised, independent and regulated lawyers, notaries verify facts and documents for use overseas.

The Notary examine your original degree certificate. Next, they will make a copy and then certify that they have seen the original and have produced a certified true copy.  This takes 1 day.

Arrange Apostille

After the notarising, the UK Government certifies the validity of the Notary. By placing an internationally recognised certificate called an Apostille on the document. We will arrange the Apostille for you via the UK FCDO Legalisation Office in Milton Keynes.  This takes 1 day.

Legalisation

We will then submit the Apostilled document to the UAE Consulate for you.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in London handles the legalisation of degrees.

The UAE Embassy verify the authenticity of the UK Apostille. They do this by looking up the Apostille number and checking the security markings on the Apostille. The Embassy will then place its consular stamp on the Apostille.

We collect the documents stamped by the UAE Embassy and send them to you, or to your nominated recipient.

This takes 3-4 weeks at the Embassy.
